Book Review: Roadside Assistance by Marie Harte

Roadside AssistanceUnapologetic, fast-paced and overall, a feel-good book, “Roadside Assistance ” makes you re-think on how you define a bad boy.

If you’re thinking two full sleeves of ink and then some, plus dirty, greasy fingernails due to working on cars the whole day and a passel of women who all claim to be his ex-lover, then perhaps, Foley Sanders is a bad boy.

But, Foley loves, respects and takes good care of his mother. He also has impeccable manners; so perhaps, he is not a bad boy after all.

Still, Cynthia Nichols think Foley is bad news. She had sworn off men because of a bad relationship. Yet, she cannot take Foley out of her mind. The handsome mechanic seems to pop up wherever she is!

The second book in the Body Shop Bad Boys Series, “Roadside Assistance ” is turning out to be another winner for author Marie Harte. The first book, “Test Drive” might be a hard act to follow; but, Harte acquitted herself by presenting Foley and Cynthia who hook you from the first page and then you just fall in love with them hook, line and sinker as the book progresses.

The plot is linear. This is romance after all where HEA is a given. But, there are a few plot twists that actually surprise you. A fun read and a good book to bring if you plan to catch the final days of summer either at the beach or the mountains.

Roadside Assistance (Body Shop Bad Boys)” is Rate M for Mature due to sexual content.

Description

Underneath the axle grease and tats
He’s a gentleman

Foley Sanders figured he’ll always be content with a life of cars and casual hookups. Until a run-in with Cyn, a statuesque firecracker with a hate-on for men, leaves him bewitched and intrigued-much to her annoyance.

Maybe Cynthia Nichols was a little hard on Foley, that muscular, tattooed, super-hot mechanic next door. But she’s tired of feeling defensive about her size and has sworn off men. She’s got a new job, new life, perfect plan. Foley has trouble written all over him-no way is she going to fall for his charms.

Foley might look like a bad idea, but underneath, he’s all gentleman. Too bad Cyn’s not buying it. What’s a bad boy to do when the goddess of his dreams won’t give him the time of day?
