Book Review: Snowbound by Fay Cunningham

Rating:

Predictable

A seasoned journalist and editor, Amy travels to Essex expecting to ghostwrite the autobiography of famed cosmetic surgeon Ethan Slopes. Instead, she found that the good doctor could actually write, and that she likes the countryside. But, it was not the bigggest surprise for Amy though. She found herself in the midst of Ethan Slopes’ extended family – his ex wife and two children, his business partner Felix, his assistant Angela, even his niece. There was another discovery, but putting it here will be a major spoiler.

***MY TAKE ON THE STORY***
It’s really very predictable for a romance – a May-December romance, which actually is more like May-September since the age gap is that big.

What was really a let down for me was the predictability of the story – the ex-wife from hell, the loving children who loved the heroine instantly, the BFFs, and of course, the strong silent type hero.

It’s a good read, but there was no excitement for me.

This book is rated PG 17 due to adult situations.
