Book Review: The Duke’s Disaster by Grace Burrowes

the dukes disasterA romantic comedy with a little bit of mystery/thriller thrown in for excitement and set in the Regency era sums up “The Duke’s Disaster” by Grace Burrowes.

The first chapter actually catches your interest immediately when Noah Winters, Duke of Anselm chose Lady Thea Collins, a daughter of an Earl but has fallen in hard times over a young and beautiful debutante who is also the daughter of a Viscount.

And then author Grace Burrowes surprises you by turning the tables with the Duke of Anselm having to worry about his reputation because of his family. There are so many twists and turns that you can’t turn the pages fast enough.

A great read! But, this is not for the faint of heart. The Duke’s Disaster is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content, violence and some very adult situations.

DescriptionNoah Winters, Duke of Anselm, exercises the pragmatism for which he’s infamous when his preferred choice of bride cries off, and her companion, Lady Thea Collins, becomes his next choice for his duchess. Lady Thea’s mature, sensible and even rather attractive-what could possibly go wrong?

As a lady fallen on hard times, Thea doesn’t expect tender sentiments from His Grace, but she does wish Noah had courted her trust, lest her past turn their hastily arranged marriage into a life of shared regrets. Is His Grace courting a convenient wife, or a beautiful disaster?
