Book Review: The Untouchable Earl by Amy Sandas

the-untouchable-earlIf you are a fan of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” then you will love “The Untouchable Earl .” Set in the Regency Period with all the restrictions of polite society intact and at work, leading a double life can be daunting. Still, titular character Avenell Slade, the Earl of Harte is doing that successfully until he laid eyes on Lily Chadwick who just turned his world upside down.

On the other hand, Lily Chadwick has no guile. To use a phrase, she can never play poker because you see in her face what she is thinking. So, the very reclusive Earl immediately knew Lily’s interest. But, what he cannot understand is that he cannot get her out of his mind.

Between Lily’s innocence and the Earl’s iron clad self control, there are lots of frustration and sexual tension between them. Actually, this is the crux of the story which by the way is the reason why the “The Untouchable Earl ” stands out. Using her wordsmith magic, author Amy Sandas created two individuals who feel alive only when they are together. Considering that the story is set in the Regency Period, it is actually a feat.

The Untouchable Earl (Fallen Ladies Book 2)” is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content.
