Cubiertos Mexican Kitchen and Bar Reveals True Colors for Cinco de Mayo

cubiertosSince Cubiertos opened in late 2013 they have drawn a following of those who savor Mexico City cuisine and well bred service. Restauranteur Marcos Macias, who stems from San Pedro Garza Garcia Nuevo Leon, Mexico, brings authenticity to the North Dallas restaurant specializing in traditional Mexican foods and margaritas. He, his staff and the new ownership have designed a stylish space reminiscent of the finest yet relaxed neighborhoods of Mexico.

Marcos’ collaborations with Mexico City born chef Eric Cabrera have produced a menu that takes flight from the Tex Mex mecca of Dallas. Cubiertos spotlights dishes such as Red Snapper Veracruz, beef filet ala Mexicana, crab enchiladas, ceviche, avocado salad, tortilla soup and cheesecake sopapillas–crafted with fresh ingredients. Salsas and moles are made fresh daily in Cubiertos’ kitchen and the bar talent mixes specialty margaritas with a wide array of fine tequilas.

Every day meals are presented with a palatable price in addition to featured items, some with rare ingredients such as cactus leaves, epazote and huitlacoche. The chef specials are just as much of an attraction as Marcos’ charm and the innate respect for others conveyed by his personally selected staff.

With Cinco de Mayo on the horizon Cubiertos has planned a celebration that reflects the roots of their concept. Three days of festivities offer a variety of music acts and special menu items to be served in the colors of the Mexican flag (green to signify hope, white to signify purity and red to signify religion).
