DALLAS, May 16, 2012/ — Oh no! ABC has cancelled GCB! And I was so looking forward to watching it next season. Last Friday, ABC announced that it was not renewing the popular television show because it only garnered 1.9 million viewers.
There is a petition going at www.SaveGCB.com and sure enough I signed it. I even put it on Facebook and Tweeter.
This is the third petition I have signed to save a show. First was to save “Star Trek Deep Space 9,” wherein the petition was successful. Second was for “The Legend of the Seeker” which is still going on but I don’t believe it is going nowhere. It has been almost two years since ABC cancelled the show.
And now the latest, GCB – an all-star television show on ABC, based on Kim Gatlin’s novel about catty, Bible-thumping Dallas socialites called Good Christian Bitches, where ABC settled on the deliberately vague, and less controversial title “GCB”.
The comedy stars TV veterans Leslie Bibb, Jennifer Aspen, Marisol Nichols, Miriam Shor, David James Elliott, Mark Deklin, Annie Potts, Tyler Jacob Moore and Eric Winter.
