DALLAS, Mar 31, 2015/ — Chris Ahn and Amy Holt know how to apply pressure when it comes to the ancient art of reflexology. With 50 reflex points concentrated on the nervous system there are few therapists throughout Texas who can properly apply this ancient technique which differs from a muscular based massage.
This ancient knowledge of reflexology led to the establishment of Massage Felax in 2010 specializing in the ancient art of reflexology and other massage modalities including Swedish, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point and Ashiatsu.
A native of South Korea and a son to a prominent physician, Ahn was exposed to reflexology when his father developed an intensive 50 step training program for reflexologists as part of his Seoul based medical practice. Chris helped define and implement the program with intention to take it overseas.
Ahn combined forces with Amy & Fox Holt when wanting to grow the business. Amy studied reflexology in Shanghai for two years. Her emersion into the ancient practice, her 10 years of history in massage therapeutics and Fox’s business savvy prompted a formal partnership in December 2014.
Amy also brings a sense of social responsibility to Massage Felax that stems from being a daughter of a Navy officer. In fact her respect for her father’s call of duty and for the massage therapies which relieved his service injuries inspires her pursuits in therapeutics. Through the business, she wants to honor war veterans with a mental and physical retreat.
Starting March 25th through Memorial Day (May 25th, 2015) Massage Felax welcomes 10 war veterans one hour of complimentary treatment each.
Veterans can call and make their appointment (first come first serve), present their VA card upon treatment and submit their name to a drawing which will award one of the veterans a complimentary long term Massage Felax package.
The winning veteran will be presented his Massage Felax package on May 25th. The program begins again in June and extends through Veterans’s Day 2015 where another veteran will be awarded a long term Massage Felax package.
