Book Review: Been In Love Before by Bryan Mooney

Been In Love BeforeRomance readers are used to having the storyline revolve around women. So, finding “Been In Love Before ” by Bryan Mooney is like a breath of fresh air because this time, three men are taking center stage.

The Macgregor brothers—Robert, Eian, and Ryan—are all recently widowed and forced to live together in Ryan’s beach house in sunny Florida. Does it sound like a reboot of “Golden Girls” to you, except that there is a gender change?

Well, don’t worry. The book is not evocative of Dorothy, Rose and Blanche, except that there are lots of fun moments, plus danger too! Oh my!

A great read and hard to put down once you start it. Mooney is a great storyteller and this yarn is like putty in his hands!

Been In Love Before is Rated T for Teens.

Description

The Macgregor brothers—Robert, Eian, and Ryan—are all recently widowed and forced to live together in Ryan’s beach house in sunny Florida. To get them to reengage with the world, Ryan’s daughter, Mary Kate, signs them up for dance lessons and insists that each find a partner in time for her wedding.

Robert, the eldest of the brothers, rediscovers an old friend who brings the spark back to his life. Eian, a former professional baseball player, takes another swing at love with the widow of his best friend. Ryan, the doctor in the family, hopes his beautiful new dance instructor can put the spring back in his step. But Mary Kate’s fiancé is a member of the rival Campbell clan, and as the wedding approaches, joyful anticipation turns into a heated family rivalry.

Together the Macgregor brothers will dance their way through first-date jitters and plenty of wrong moves as they try to save the wedding—and restart their lives.
